Manama: A foreign passenger has been arrested with a substance suspected to be marijuana, weighing 2.0597kg, the director of Airports Customs announced.
Customs officers at Bahrain International Airport found the substance folded in plastic bags inside a wooden music instrument the suspect was carrying.
The man tried to exit through the green channel with his baggage. An officer asked him to move to the red channel where the instrument with him aroused suspicion and the substance was discovered by the X-ray device.
The suspect was arrested and handed over to the Anti-narcotics Directorate at the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science.
