UAE: The Samoohika Shri Satyanarayana Puja Samithi Dubai organised their 8th Shree Sathyanarayana puja with great devotion at The Indian Academy School, Muhaisnah, Al Qusais here on 27th March 2015.
The venue witnessed a devotional touch with more than 1200 devotees living in Dubai and the other Emirates who assembled in one place deeply immersed in hymns and bhajans in praise of the Lord, singing, clapping and enjoying the whole heavenly atmosphere with the smell of lighted incense sticks, lamps, flowers and beating of drums. The puja mantap which was beautifully decorated with flowers by Rajesh Kutthar and other preparations enhanced a large gathering and created a perfect environment for the Puja.
The puja was organised to create devotion in the minds and hearts of humans – thereby bringing in peace and harmony throughout the world. The scriptures say’ Mind is our own enemy, Mind is also our own friend’. The intentions behind the puja are to help mankind to control the mind and instill bhakti to channelise the energies into a harmonious whole.
On behalf of the devotees, senior members Mrs. & Mr.Yadav Kotian represented and performed the puja rituals by the able guidance of noted purohith Raghu Bhat. The puja programme had several events such as Sankalpa, aspiring bhajans, mahapooja, prasadam distribution and mahaprasadam. Representatives of Various Bhajana Mandalis of UAE added more colour to the programme by chanting various devotional bhajans, supported by Raghu Poojary in Harmonium , Rajesh Kutthar In Tabla and under the guidance of Dinesh Acharya .All the devotees were engrossed in the Puja with bhajans.
Later Harish Kamath, the man behind the concept of formation of Samoohika Shri Sathyanarayana Puja Samithi in Dubai by including all the communities and successfully organizing 8th continuous Samoohika Shri Sathyanarayana Puja was felicitated on behalf of the puja samithi for his contributions and efforts to preserve our tradition and culture.
Various community members and leaders gathered for the auspicious puja and also supported for the grand success of Sathyanarayana Puja. The Samoohika Shri Sathyanarayana Puja samithi extended their gratitude to all devotees,supporters, sponsors and the media for making Shree Sathyanarayana Puja a grand success.
