Haryana, October 24: The electricity bill for the month of October was sent to Rajesh Chautala by Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (UHBVN). It was quite shocking to go through it during this festive season.
Chauatla said , “It was a real shock to me when I saw the electricity bill mentioning the amount Rs 132.29 crore” .
The paan (betel leaf) seller said he used only a fan and a bulb at his shop, questioning UHBVN authorities as to how could he get a huge bill for such low power consumption.
Meanwhile, UHBVN authorities said they will investigate into the matter. UHBVN Executive Engineer S Chawla said that, “We will investigate the matter to see how a bill of such a big amount was issued to him (Chautala)” .
