A hungry leopard was left licking its wounds literally after it failed to capture a huge porcupine for dinner. A viral video shows the feline predator trying to hunt down the porcupine in the Kruger National Park in South Africa.
The wild cat is seen pursuing the porcupine multiple times, while having to repeatedly withdraw to remove the painful quills on its face and paws.
Towards the end, the prickly porcupine manages to get away without any visible damage and the leopard slunk away empty-handed.
