In a bizarre incident, a Chinese woman secretly delivered a baby in the toilet of an Internet café and then continued surfing the web holding her newly-born in her arms.
According to Daily Mail, 24-year-old Xiao Li was found with her baby, soaked in blood, with the umbilical cord still attached.
After delivering the baby, the woman returned to her computer.
According to reports, the woman could not afford a hotel because all her money had been stolen.
Li was forced to leave her house because of a family dispute and has separated from the baby’s father.
She along with her baby was discovered by a cleaner, who offered the duo help, but she declined.
The cleaner immediately called for the ambulance after seeing the mother and child. After the paramedics arrived, Li refused to be carried on a stretcher and walked to the ambulance.
The cleaner said, “There was a lot of blood. It totally blocked the toilet. She initially just stood there shaking and covered in blood but then she sat down and continued surfing.”
The hospital is taking care of the mother and the child. Her family, including her ex-boyfriend were contacted.
