Mangalore, October 31: A youth Rupert (23) was assaulted by a Believer’s group forcing for conversion near Derebail, Mangalore.
A complaint has been registered at the Kavoor police station.
It is said, Rupert was forced to convert since four to five years. The believers group which believes only on Jesus Christ and not on the church and fathers had successfully converted the family members of Rupert. It is alleged that, since Rupert had denied conversion he was assaulted.
It is gathered that, Rupert’s family members have driven him out of his house and he stays at a shed close to his house since four to five years. It is also said, he was tormented by his family by raising the issue over denying him water supply and other issues. Nearly six members of the Believers group who had arrived on Wednesday night, October 29th, assaulted Rupert.
Kavoor police are investigating the case.
