Pending Projects- Minister SR Patil warns and grants three months deadline to make over.

Mangaluru, November 22:  S R Patil, Minister for planning and statistics, IT, BT, science and technology, presided over the review meeting of Members of Parliament Local Area Development Scheme (MPLADS) and Karnataka Legislators Local Area Development Scheme (KLLADS), at Circuit House here on Saturday November 22nd.

He charged the officials for in-completion of various projects and gave them a deadline of three months to finish all the pending works, if failed; he warned of strict actions.

A B Ibrahim Deputy Commissioner too expressed his disappointment over the delayed and pending works by the MCC engineers. “People have lost confidence on the MCC. Even to construct an anganvadi they need five months,” he said.

Patil warned that, strict actions would be taken against those responsible for the delay in works if the pending projects were not completed within deadline of three months.

Zilla panchayat CEO, Tulasi Maddineni said that as money is comes in crores, the engineers are taking the smaller works lightly. Responding to this, Patil said, all works, whether big or small, have to be finished within the deadline.

Patil promised that funds for the development works will not be delayed and stressed on the fact that he would not compromise on the quality of work.

“We are public servants and we have to work according to the interest of people. They are our boss. We ought to regain their confidence. I will not compromise on this” he said.

MLC Ivan D’Souza, MLA J R Lobo, DC A B Ibrahim, Executive engineer Rajashekar, ZP CEO-Tulasi Maddineni and other officials were present during the review meet.
