Karkala, January 28: Chief Minister has arrived at Karkala to participate in the auspicious Mahamastakabhisheka of lord Bahubali.
Speaking to reporters after landing at the helipad in Swaraj Maidan here he said, “We will not accept Satish Jarkiholi’s resignation from the state cabinet so soon. We will hold discussions and arrive at a decision later. I spoke to him last night and again this evening too we will hold talks. We will convince him to withdraw the resignation,” he said.
CM speaking on Deve Gowda’s repeated demand for his resignation, said, “Who is Deve Gowda to demand my resignation over Arkavathi issue? Why is he interested in it?”
He also said that the grant of Rs 15,000 crore from the state government towards Mahamastakabhisheka celebrations has been utilized well.
Abhaychandra Jain -Youth services and sports minister, Vinay Kumar Sorake – urban development minister and district incharge, Ramanath Rai- minister for forests, MLA Mohiuddin Bava, MLC Ivan D’Souza, MLA Sunil Kumar were present among other dignitaries.
