Health Check-up for Journalists -A Service Initiative by Indiana Hospital, Mangalore

Mangalore : Indiana Hospital & Heart Institute in association with DK Working Journalists Association, Mangalore is organizing Free Health Check-Up exclusively for working journalists.

News reporters and journalists strive relentlessly in the public interest and endure enormous daily work pressure. But due to hectic work schedule, their personal and family health gets neglected. Hence, Indiana Hospital & Heart Institute, as a part of its social responsibility initiative, has proposed this free health check-up exclusively for the benefit of the media fraternity.

Over 300 journalists belonging to DK Working Journalists Union, their families and individuals referred by them may avail the facilities of this programme.

Sri Mahabala Marla, Honorable Mayor of Mangalore City Corporation, will inaugurate this health check-up programme in the presence of Dr. Yusuf Kumble, Managing Director of Indiana Hospital, Sri Jagannath Shetty Bala, President of DK Working Journalists Union and other  office bearers on Wednesday, 28th January 2014 at Mangalore Press Club premises situated at Urva in the city.

 Free Health Check-Up

The hospital’s standard Health Check-UP Package worth Rs. 4985/- for men and Rs. 4705/- for women will be offered completely free to working journalists, his / her spouse and parents. For other individuals recommended by working journalists 10% discount will be given on any health check-up package offered by the hospital.

Hospital Admission

20% discount will be given on total hospital bill excluding pharmacy, consultation fees and organ transplant, implants if any, to working journalists, his / her spouse, parents and individuals admitted to Indiana Hospital on recommendation of a working journalist.
