Mangaluru/ Vitla, January 30: A father of 23 children has sexually assaulted a 10-year old female child in Kolnadu at Bantwal taluk.
A case under the Prevention of Children from Sexual Offences Act was registered in Vittal police station on Thursday January 29th.
The accused is Rajab (50), resident of karaje in Kolnadu, who has four wives and 23 children.
The girl’s mother has filed a complaint with the Vitla cops and a case stands registered under the Prevention of Children from Sexual Offences Act on Thursday January 29th.
It is learnt that, Rajab had invited a ten-year-old girl from his village to his house at afternoon on January 23rd and sexually abused her. As the girl’s father had been out of station, the complaint has been filed after his return, informed the girl’s mother.
The police are on a look out to arrest the accused.
As the case is of the sensitive nature, tight vigil is deployed in the area and additional police force has also been put in place.
