Mangaluru, January 31: A hotel owner who has reportedly lured a minor girl into his love game through mobile conversation was branded black and blue by the girl’s family who later handed over the accused to the Ullal cops. The incident is reported to have occurred at Thokkotu on Friday, January 31st.
The accused man Bashir (32), residing at Pandith house was handed over to the cops. He was married twice and is said to have divorced both of his wives.
The accused Bashir had begun to converse with the minor girl secretly through the phone since some time. He was also frequently visiting the minor girl’s house and attempting to disturb her, it is gathered.
It is learnt that, the girl had revealed about the torment to her family. The family along with the minor girl had arrived in an Omni Car near Tikka Point Hotel owned by Bashir in Thokkotu. The minor girl was left to speak with Bashir, when both were conversing; the team which had arrived from behind at the venue had beaten Bashir black and blue with the items found close by. For about 15 minutes, the assault had taken place and the Ullal cops on receiving information arrived at the spot and arrested the accused.
Later, the minor girl’s family was called to the police station and investigated. The case has been settled in compromise, it is learnt.
Hindu women attempts to rescue him: It is said, as the assault was taking place on Bashir, a women from other district who was present at the venue attempted to rescue him from assaulters. It is learnt that the said women was telling that Bashir was providing lunch to the hunger, he is not such a kind of person, and was reportedly attempting to rescue the youth from the hands of assaulters.
