Mangaluru, March 4: Suspension has been quashed for six students of Govinda Das College in Suratkal.
Principal of the college suspended them for violation of rules relating to ban on cell phones in the college premises.
A photo was uploaded in Facebook in which a student was seen lying on the laps of five girl students.
In relation to the incident, a student was kidnapped and thrashed. A protest was also staged in front of the college demanding stringent action against students involved.
After calling the meeting of the parents of students who were involved in the act, the principal had suspended the students. The matter was forwarded to the university.
The Students Federation of India- Dakshina Kannada district unit has expressed its consent to the decision to quash suspension of students.
