Karnataka Government has failed to completely utilize Central Government grants.

Mangaluru, March 28: Karnataka has failed to completely utilise the grants of Central Government said the Union Minister for chemicals and Fertilizers Ananth Kumar on Friday, March 27th.

He was spoke a press meet organized here on Friday and said, the centre had granted Rs 21 thousand crores for centrally sponsored schemes out of which average 51 percent of the funds are only utilized so far. He said the Karnataka has not fully utilized the grants of central government.

He also suggested that the Chief Minister has to come forward to completely utilize the grants of central government.

This time, the Karnataka government will receive around 10 thousand crores of additional grants compared to last year. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has already directed the Finance Minister regarding the same. Since the past, State Government had placed a request before the centre seeking additional grants, which has been consented only by the Modi Government, he added.

During the press meet, MP Nalin Kumar, BJP District president Pratap Simha Nayak, Yogish Bhat was present among others.
