Mangaluru, May 27: To commemorate the Death Anniversary of Inida’s First Prime Minister Pandith Jawaharlal Nehru, a ceremony was held at the DK district congress office here on Wednesday, May 27th.
Acting president of the district congress Ibrahim Kodijal garlanded the photograph of Nehru.
Speaking on this occasion he said, as the first Prime minister of India, Late Nehru had laid the financial and administrative foundation of our country. During his term of administration, he was successful in implementing many five-year plans, dams were built and industries were established. Many irrigation related projects were planned for the benefit of farmers across the country. Being keen to develop the country, he too co-operated with Mahatma Gandhiji to build his dream RamaRajya.
