Attempt to illegal sale of Balckbuck skin- Man arrested.

Mangaluru, July 30: Mangaluru Special Police forest mobile squad on Thursday, July 31st have arrested a person from near KSRTC bus stand in Bejai, while attempting to illegally sell the skin of BlackBuck- a forest habitat.

The accused is identified as Maruti Shivappa Gatty (27) from Haveri. The police have confiscated two skins of Blackbuck from the possession of the accused.

Mangalore special forest mobile police PSI Shekar based on reliable information arrested the accused Maruti Shivappa Gatty along with the two skins of Blackbuck. Another accused Molali Mabuli Bade Sab Dulsi from Haveri has escaped and the police are on a look out for him.

The accused Maruti Shivappa Gatty and the two confiscated Blackbuck skins from his possession are handed over to the Barke Police station for further inquiry. A case has been registered under the wild life conservation act at Barke police station and investigations are underway.

Directed by Bengaluru forest division police Inspector General Hemanth Nimbalkar (IPS) and police Commissioner Venkat Nayak; Mangalore special forest mobile police PSI Shekar, H C Umesh Hosolike, Jayaram Rai, Honnappa Gowda, Ramachandra G, Basheer and Narayan participated in the arrest operation.
