Mangaluru, September 4: Hundreds of college students under the banner of All College Students’ Association protested against the Yettinahole project by blocking the roads for some time at Hampankatta here on Friday September 4th.
State legal advisor of All College Students’ Association Dinakar Shetty said, all organizations, institutions, citizens should join the protest against the Yettinahole project which is a threat to the people of Dakshina Kannada district. In future, severe water scarcity will hit the city, and people may face problems due to water scarcity, he added.
During the protest students urged to drop the Yettinahole Project.
During the protest, association president Rohini, executive president Donald Norohana and others were present.
Pandeshwar police intervened and dispersed the protestors and cleared the road for traffic movement.
