Kundapur, October 10: Fire broke out in a hardware shop located at Iduru on the Kollur-Kundapur State Highway on the evening of Friday, October 9th. The shop is almost gutted in fire and the fire had also spread to the adjacent grocery shop as well as two rented houses.
It is gathered that the complex belongs to one Gulabi Shedti. This fire accident took place at the Hardware shop run by Bhaskar Shetty, and the fire had also spread to the adjacent grocery shop and two rented houses causing damages. This fire accident has caused damage to property worth over 40 lakhs, it is said.
At around 7pm, fire broke out in the hardware shop. As there were paint and other chemicals in the shop, the fire soon spread to the entire shop and later spread to the adjacent shop and the two rented houses.
The locals immediately passed information to the Kundapur fire brigade and by the time they reached the spot, the shop was almost burnt causing a great loss.
It is said, this fire accident occurred due to short circuit.
