Mangalore, Apr 23: KPCC Secretary Ivan D’Souza said that BJP instead of condemning the act is involved in giving a communal colour to the Kabeer shoot-out case near Shringeri check post.
Speaking at the press meet held at District Congress office on April 23, Wednesday, he said that the statement given by Karkala MLA Sunil Kumar is condemned since Kabeer was a cattle trader and government will never provide compensation to the family of a person involved in cattle trafficking.
Ivan also criticized Hindu Jagarana Vedike leader Satyajit Suratkal, who organized a press meet to urge the government to withdraw the compensation announced to Kabeer family and terming him to be a criminal. Hence Satyajit must withdraw his statement given to the media.
The congress is looking for the impartial probe in to the Kabir case through CBI, he said.
