Mangalore ,August 12: It has been revealed by SIMI terrorists Asadulla and Muhammad Gaus Uruf Razauddin Nasir ;that they had targeted Infosys situated in Mangalore . They were arrested earlier and submitted before Magistrate Gopalkrishna Kolli of the District Sessions court.The Investigating officer DYSP S S Khotha of the CID, revealed this. Their examination has been going on for the last seven days.
The terrorists stayed in Topaz lodge and had planned to flick a bike from the parking slot at the Karavali Utsav that had taken place at the Palike Maidan. Since the security staffs were quite alert and the area was over crowded, they dropped the idea. Later the duo brought a bike from another person attempted to enter the Premises through the south gate but the security personnel were vigilant and seized them from entering without valid entry cards.
Later, filling petrol at a petrol pump 20 kms away from Mangalore; they left to Agumbe Dargah where they stayed. Then moved to Hubli where they stayed in a rented house.
With a vision to explode bombs and kill tourists, they surveyed Goa’s popular beaches like Calangute, Baga, Miramaar beaches. The duo stayed in a lodge and escaped without paying the bills.
The DYSP stated that from their photographs the duo have been identified by the witnesses to their activities.
Mr D A Bhandekar is the public prosecutor of the case. Even on Tuesday, the questioning will be carried out.
