Dad forgot 2-year-old boy in car from midnight to noon
A two-year-old Saudi boy died after his father forgot him inside the locked car in the scorching summer heat for nearly 12 hours.
The boy was asleep in the back seat when his father returned home after receiving relatives at the airport in the Western Red Sea port of Jeddah at mid night.
“The father had two elder sons in the front seat. When he returned home, they all went into the house and forgot the two-year-old boy asleep in the back seat,” the Arabic language daily Al Jazeira said.
“The father remembered his son was still in the car only when it was around 12 noon on Friday. He rushed him to the hospital but the boy died there.
The paper said police detained the father for interrogation.
