Mangalore, Nov 13: Campus Front of India (CFI) gave away the ‘Ekalavya Award’ to a student of Heera Women’s College, Fathima Zubeena in a formal function held at NGO hall in the city on Monday, for her academic achievements in II PUC.
The award was given away by ‘Akshara Santha’ Harekala Hajabba.
Fathima Zubeena, a resident of Kasaba Bengre, accepting the honour said that the educated must strive to educate the illiterate because education is the only means to develop the nation.
Muhammed Iqbal, State president of CFI presided over the function. Vasudeva Bolur of Ahinda movement, Saleem Malar, director, start tutorials, Mohommed Tafsir and Sanaulla of CFI were the guests of the occasion.
