Mangalore, May 31: Addressing the press reporters at the bank’s head office on May 31, Friday Ajay Kumar, Chairman and managing director of corporation bank said that official language implementation committee has bagged Indira Gandhi Rajbhasha award thrice at the national level given by the government of India.
He further added, efforts made by the bank in the implementation of the official language has been commended even by home ministry and bank’s website and core banking facilities is in dual language.
Hindi workshop is also being conducted on regular basis to facilitate bank staff to make maximum usage of official language in their day to day works.
He further informed that apart from conducting various contests for its staff on Hindi day in order to popularize official language also publishes three journals named Kshema, Mangala and Tridhara.
Awards like corp Karyapalak puraskar yojana, corp Rajyabasha puraskar yojana and Rajyabasha shield etc have been introduced in order to encourage the staff to use Hindi language.
MD has also said besides promoting Hindi, bank also give more important to state language Kannada and publishing house journal is in Kannada.The publicity materials of the bank are also in Kannada except the name board which are in Kannada,English and Hindi, he added.
In order to promote Kannada, Srigandha Balaga of the bank publishes Srigandha journal every year.
