Maggi noodles- Citizens urged not to consume Maggi noodles until Lab results arrive.

Mangaluru, June 3: Health Minister UT Khader on June 3rd, has appealed to the general public not to consume Maggi noodles until the laboratory test results arrive.

Khader addressing the media here said, samples of four Maggi Noodles have been sent to CFTRI Mysuru which is recognised by the centre and a private laboratory in Bangaluru. Once the reports arrive appropriate actions will be taken, he said.

Initially, Maggi noodles samples taken from a store in Barabanki district of Uttar Pradesh were found to contain monosodium glutamate and lead above the permissible limit.

The tests found that the amount of lead present was 17 times more than the permitted limit, which is considered hazardous.

Various states have ordered for the test of Maggi noodles to find out whether it is safe for consumption or not.
