‘Mangaluru job fair’ on Nov 19th and 20th, for candidates of DK and Udupi districts

Mangaluru, October 6: The state level huge ‘Mangaluru Job Fair’ will be organized for two days at Canara Engineering College, Benjanapadavu, Bantwal on November 19th and 20th, informed DK district in-charge Minister B Ramanath Rai.

Minister Ramanath Rai released the logo of the job fair at the Deputy Commissioner’s office here on Monday, October 5th and discussed about the preparations for the job fair with the senior officials. He said, in the job fair, first preference must be given to the job aspirants of Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts and suggested the officials that the job fair must be organized in a unique manner.

Care must be taken such that all the participants in the job fair are provided employment. In this view, high level meeting will be held with the administrative directors of the company or CEO’s of the Bengaluru and Dubai based companies in order to make more companies to participate in this job fair. This meeting will be held on October 14th in Bengaluru, informed Minister Ramanath Rai.

Organizer of the job fair Vivek Alva provided information and said, in the job fair, more priority will be given to the on line registration of the job providing companies and the job aspirants. During the job fair, colour codes will be given to the candidates according to their qualification, there by link will be provided between the companies and the candidates. Counsellors will be employed to provide guidance to the candidates, he explained.

Dr Iftikar Ali said, to bring more companies for the job fair and for the confirmation of providing jobs to the job aspirants, meeting will be called with the heads of all the companies. Also the task of providing information in the social sites must be done, he suggested.

In the meeting, DC A B Ibrahim, Basava Rajendra, director, Keonics; Kulkarni, Director, Employment Training Department; Vallishree, CEO, ICT Skill Development Society; Shantappa, Member Secretary, Pollution Control Board; Shrividya, ZP CEO; were present.
