Mangaluru, November 27: Universities should not be mere centres for education. But it should be the centres that mould the future of students. It is necessary to establish a separate chair or research centre in all the universities about rural language or regional language. Hence students coming from other states do not feel like outsiders, opined Assam and Nepal governor PB Acharya.
P B Acharya delivered a special lecture after inaugurating ‘Namaste’ centre for study of north-eastern states at K S Hegde auditorium, Nitte University in Deralakatte on Thursday November 26th.
Nitte University chancellor N Vinay Hegde also spoke on this occasion.
Dr S Ramananda Shetty welcomed the gathering.
Student’s welfare director Dr Rajashekar compeered the programme.
Nitte University registrar Professor Dr M S Moodithaya proposed vote of thanks.
