Udupi; Oct 30: Addressing the press reporters in the press meet held on Oct 30, Wednesday at Pathrika Bhavan,Udupi,Idris Hude, a member of the Hude Muhammadiya education trust said in his speech that today the ” Religion, the arts – literature, ideas have become the sale of a commodity. By creating a trench between Religions – the religion that the work to separate the people is being taking place. This work, only through best literature can be possible. Today work of bringing people close to each other is needed.
He also said that the function can only be good literature to bring people close to each other. Misconception about the lack of mutual understanding among people in terms of religion, faith, disbelief, doubt etc are the reasons for enemity, said Idris Hude.
In the month of November, as a part of silver Jubilee celebration of Shanti publication the’ for peace, literature’ campaign being undertaken.
In the last 25 years, Shanti publication has been contributing to the Kannada sahitya-ranga. Literature in humans should join together the positive feelings in the minds. Literature should help the man to remove superstition, stupidity, time honored customs blindness, ignorance, darkness. The purpose of Shanti Prakashan is to bring mutual trust, love, amity, peace, brotherhood, he said.
Continuing his speech, in the name of “for peace, literature” Shanti Prakashana has decided to celebrate its silver jubilee celebration across Karnataka.A welcome committee at state level has been formed comprising of National authors, seers (Swamijis) , celebrities, eminent personalities and prominent leaders.
Head of Government College of Graduate Studies Department of Kannada Udupi Gananatha Yekkuru will be the chairman of welcome committee.
In Udupi’s Jamiya Masjid road a massive book exhibition will be held from November 10 to November 17th.Vinaya Kumar Sorake, minister for urban development will inaugurate the exhibition.
On November 23, Saturday “for peace, literature “women symposium will be held at Town Hall. Litterateurs Sharada Bhat, Manjula Jayakar, Sameera Jahan will be participating.
On November 29th, in the symposium author Na.D’Souza, M.I.C director Varadesh Hiregange will speak. Abdul Khader Kukkila, Sanmarga weekly editor will preside over the function.
Book exhibition from November 26th to 30 will be held at Kundapur rotary Laxmi Narasimha Kala Mandir, near government junior college and in Karkala, Shaheen furniture, galaxy hall exhibition will be held from November 2oth to 24.
The new edition of Shanti Prakashana will be launched by Neelavara Surendra Adiga, president, district Kannada Sahitya parishat.
Vittaldas Bannanje, retired educational executive, Mohammad Marakada, President Ja.E.Him.Sthaniya and among others were present.
