Udupi; Jan 10: Prof.H.Krishna Bhat, director of Govinda Pai research centre said in the release that Dr.Sa.Shi.Marulayya has been chosen for Talthaje Keshava Bhatta memorial Dathinidhi-2013, award for his contribution in composition, critics’ translation through research.
Tumkur district’s Chikkanaya Kanahalli taluk’s Dr.Sasalu Shivarudrayya Marulayya, was the president of Kannada Sahitya parishat from 1995 to 1998 and served as chief editor of Vishwakosha from 1979 to 1983 and has written around 60 books. He was presented with Karnataka Sahitya academy award, Rajyotsava prashasthi, Devaraja Bahadur prashasthi and H.Narasimha prashasthi.He has received doctorate degree for his Keladiya Arasaru and Kannada Sahitya composition.
