Mangalore August 31: State Health and Family Welfare Minister U T Khader said that Bunts community people are always known for their creative and has contributed a lot towards the society. Let Lord Ganesha shower his blessings on the people of the district.
He was speaking at the religious meet held at Omkaranagara, Bunts Hostel organized by Sri Siddi Vinayaka Pratishtana and Sarvajanika Sri Ganeshotsava Samithi on August 31 Sunday.
He also said that, the Bunts community has not only made achievements in Mangalore but also in Mumbai.
State Sport Minister K Abhayachandra Jain, said that dedication and devotion is important while offering pooja to the god. Since, God’s blessing is necessary during the tough time.
Speaking on the occasion, MLC Ivan D’Souza said that Ganeshotsava is the symbol of unity. This festival is celebrated by the people irrespective of caste and religion and celebrated as the national festival across the country.
MLA Moiddin Bawa, Rev Dr Hannibal Cabral, Urmila Ramesh, Kunjalgutthu Prabhakar Shetty, participated as the chief guest and wished the occasion to be a success.
MLC Ivan D’Souza, Janaki Brahmavar, Arooru Prabhakar Rao, Dr Vidhyadhr Shetty, Nirmala Kamath, Dr Atul Kumar Shetty, Manohar Shetty, Rohit Kumar Shetty, Chandrahas Rai Bolnadugutthu were felicitated for their achievement in various fields.
Buntara yane Nadavara Matra Sangha president Malady Ajith Kumar Rai Kodialguttu presided over the function.
State sports Minister K Abhayachandra Jain released the monthly ‘Namma Samparka’ brought out by Buntara Mathr Sangha.
