Udupi, Sepetmber 12: Wild-life photographer Raghavendra Koodangala (Raghu focus) from Udupi and upcoming photographer Harish from Kundapur; the duo had detained at Kargil due to heavy rains and floods in Jammu and Kashmir have safely landed at their home-town on Thursday.
Among the 15 members from the country who had left to Ladhakh to participate in the 5-days National-Level Photography Camp, the duo from there was moving to Gulmarg-Sonamarg. Meanwhile, the road ways were washed away and communication was cut –off and hence they had to lodge at Kargil.
On their way back, the heavy down pour at Shrinagar had caused heavy floods and hence it they failed reach Shrinagar to board the flight. So they had to stay for three more days at Kargil. Meanwhile, due to heavy rain mobile communication was cut-off and hence their family were under stress.
They even failed to get the flight tickets in time. Finally at 7am they left to Delhi form Shrinagar, then to Bangalore, later to Mangalore and safely reached Udupi at 5.30a.m.
