Mangalore, September 22: Man has thrown his humanity and morality in air….A heart-rending incident in which a 1.5 -year-old calf was sexually abused by miscreant. The incident occurred close to labour colony in Padoor at Majoor village in Udupi district on Sunday September 21st.
The calf belongs to Narayana Kulal of Padoor Shantigudde. Cops have already taken four suspects for probing from the labour colony.
Narayana Kulal had tied the calf near his house and left it to graze. Later, the calf went missing and on searching, he found the calf in a nearby wood. He also noticed blood on the calf as well as stains at the spot where it was found.
It is learnt that, he then saw a youth loitering holding a bottle of liquor and held him. The locals who had gathered there by then realized what had happened and began looking around the area and caught the other youths.
The information was passed on to the cops and Shirva police inspector Ashok P and other police personnel rushed at the spot. Locals terrified and angry over the incident, due to which tension prevailed in the spot and cops tried to calm them. With the help of the labour colony manager, the police took the four youths into custody.
Srikanth Phadke, Assistant director of animal husbandry department and Shirva veterinary doctor Arun Kumar Hegde examined the calf and said that it seemed to have been subjected to sexual assault.
Sperm samples found around the renal area of the calf and the blood samples available in this area are taken to the lab for further examination.
