Mangalore, October 27: Karnataka Beary Sahitya Academy creations, “Thalesingara ” Beary songs CD was launched in a ceremony held in the city at St Aloysius College auditorium on Sunday, October 26th. The “Thalesingara” Bearys songs were written by the author Mohammad Baddur.
The Minister in charge of the district B Ramanath Rai after launching the CD said, “The Beary Sahitya Academy is organizing interesting programs compared to other academies. About this, a state-level discussion is also going on. Through the different programs, the Beary Academy is mingling among the masses. It is a positive growth” he said.
Academy President BA Mohammed Hanif presided over the ceremony. BA Moideen Bawa was invited as the guest. Play-writer Vijay Kumar Kodiyalbail reviewed on the CD. Vice-President of the Muslim Central Committee of Dakshina Kannada and Udupi district Haji Ibrahim Kodijal distributed the prizes.
Corporator Lathif Kanduka, member of the Academy Aisha Perla, Yusuf Vakthar, T A Aliyabba Jokatte were present.
Mohammad Baddur, CD composer, singer Ashraf Apollo, Suhail Baddur, Mohammad Iqbal Katipalla, music director Vijay (Kokila) were honored during the ceremony.
Umarabba the registrar of the Academy welcomed the gathering. Member, Abdul Hamid Goltamajalu, ccompered the programme. Member, Abdul Hameed Padubidri proposed the vote of thanks.
Literature studies camp: Author Chandrakala Nandavara inaugurated the camp and lauded them for their efforts to prove the existence of `Bearys’.
Symposium was presented on the subjects by Muralidhara Upadhaya Hiriyadka, a literary critic, what is literature? How? Why? ‘,Shaad Bagalkote on the subject “Ghajal History” and writer Muhammad Baddur on the subject ‘ Literature and Society’.
Later literature examination and conversation with the authors was held in the camp. Kodagu District Kannada Sahitya Parishad Secretary BA Shamshuddin was invited as the guest. Muhammad Sharif Nirmunje sang the intentional song.
