Mangalore, October 30: A protest was held in front of the DC office in Mangalore on October 30th, Thursday forcing the state government to hand over the assault case of IAS officer Rashmi to the CBI by the members of Dakshina Kannada district unit of the BJP Mahila Morcha.
Roopa D Bangera, District Mahila Morcha General Secretary addressed the protestors and said the BJP strongly damned the assault on the IAS officer and demanded the government to punish the culprits. She said, a CBI probe into the case could ensure justice to the IAS officer.
State Mahila Morcha Secretary, Shyamala Kunder, blamed the government for failing to take auitanle action against the culprits and demanded their immediate arrest.
National Council Member of the Mahila Morcha Asha Jagadish, urged to provide security to women IAS officers.
In the protest, Pulasya Rai, Sumana Sharan and other Mahila Morcha members took part.
