Mangaluru, November 7: The popular Laksha Deepothsava at Shri Dharmasthala Shrine begins from November 18th onwards and the governor of the state Vajubhai Rudabhai Vaala will pay a visit to this shrine on November 21st.
The Deputy Commissioner of Dakshina Kannada A.B. Ibrahim will inaugurate the exhibition on November 18th at Shree Kshethra Dharmasthala. The occasion will be presided over by the Dharmadhikari of Shree Kshethra Dr D Veerendra Heggade.
The conference of religions on November 21st, will be inaugurated by the governor the state Vajhubai Vaala. The programme will be presided over by the Seer of Aadhichunchanagiri Shree Nirmalananda Swamiji. Resource persons such as Fr Clifford Fernandes, spiritual director- St Joseph’s Seminary, Mangalore, the director of the Mahabhodhi Society Bangalore Dr B V Rajaram, and the co-editor of Sudha Weekly B M Hanif will participate in the programme.
The Sahitya Sammelana organised on November 22nd will be inaugurated by the ITBT minister S R Patil. The renowned literaturist of Dharwad Dr Siddhalinga Pattna Shetty will preside over the function. Retired IAS officer Dr C Somashekar from Bangalore, retired teacher Dr PK Rajashekar from Mysore, Dr Dharinidevi Maalagatti Deputy Director of police will arrive as the resource persons.
