Bantwal, November 20: Under the leadership of the district in-charge minister Ramanath Rai, the 2nd Janata Darshan programe of DK was held at Bantwal Town. Various benefits were distributed to 1,800 eligible beneficiaries on the occasion.
The minister distributed the order letters for various benefits and cheques to 11 members under natural calamity, 10 members under Chief Minister’s relief fund, 31 members under national family fund, widow pension sanction letter to 291, sanction letter for 90 handicapped, sanction letter for 531 aged under Sandhya Suraksha yojane, power tiller for three persons, sewing machines for unemployed women, cultivation letters for 79 members and site patents for 125 families.
Addressing the assembled, Rai said that Janata Darshan is organised to avoid running from pillar to post to avail facilities for the suffering. He added that the 20 point programme introduced by former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi has helped poor to own land. Janata Darshan programme will ensure that the government benefits reach all the eligible. He said, he has ensured that the government sanctioned mini Vidhan Soudha, government bus stand, traffic police station, stadium, multi-village drinking water project, and UGD facilities to Bantwal and nearby areas.
As a part of birth anniversary celebrations of Indira Gandhi, oath of ‘national integrity’ was administered. The officials attended to 163 applications received from November 7th to 14th and on the spot, 482 applications received were disposed.
Sub-divisional officer Dr Ashok welcomed the gathering.
