New Delhi: Describing the brutal life under Islamic State a ‘nightmare’, a 15-year-old girl, who escaped the militant group’s clutches, on Saturday revealed that she and many girls like her were forced to change their religion and marry the militants.
Talking to ANI, the girl whose identity is still unknown, said that the whole experience to be under the ISIS captivity was horrifying, especially for the girls.
“They captured women and kids and wanted to change their religion. They sell the girls among themselves and later forced the girls to marry them,” the girl told ANI.
Although the girl has escaped the tortures of ISIS, yet she is not happy as she always keep thinking of her friends who are still trapped with the ISIS.
“Even after escaping ISIS captivity, I keep thinking about what can I do to release my friends who are still there. I’ve approached some NGOs which are working for human rights to help the girls,” said the girl.
Earlier the two Yazidi teenagers, who had also escaped the ISIS captivity, had revealed that they were forced to watch the videos of men from their community being beheaded. They had also said that they were so traumatised that they tried to commit suicide.
Women are being subject to torture under Islamic State confinement. After the brutal murder of Peter Kassig, documented in a horrific video, a 26-year-old female aid worker is the last of the terror organization’s American prisoners.
