Bangalore, May 22: KPCC chief G Parameshwara on Wednesday directed the government headed by Siddaramaiah that at least one minister should visit KPCC head office every day and interact with the party workers to ensure proper coordination between the government and the party.
Speaking to reporters, he said the council of ministers has special responsibility in preparing the party for the Lok Sabha elections likely to be held early next year. The ministers should interact with the workers and address issues raised by them. The ministers should also inform about their tour programmes to the respective district Congress chief well in advance so that the local party workers can interact with them, he added. He said he will soon send a time table to the government on ministers’ visit to the party office.
Besides, Parameshwara said the ministers have been asked to send a monthly report about their respective departments to the KPCC. The State Congress will, in turn, send the report to the AICC, Delhi.
A decision on filling up five vacant berths in the council of ministers and appointments to various boards and corporations will be taken after consulting the chief minister and the party high command.
