Mangalore, May 26: In a glittering ceremony held at Motimahal on May 25, Saturday Pushparaj Jain has been crowned as new president of CREDAI for two years.
While accepting the charge from outgoing CREDAI president PMA Razak of Plama developers, new president in his address said government must extend helping hand to builders in order to construct affordable houses for the poor.
The other office bearers of the new team are D B Mehta,vice-president,Ganesh A Bangera (Honorary secretary) Shrinath Hebbar (Joint secretary) Vinod A R Pinto (Treasurer) K C Naik, SM Arshad,William D’souza,Dheeraj Amin,Siraj Ahmed,Sanath Kumar Shetty and Rohan Monteiro(Members).The new office bearers will manage CREDAI for two years i.e. 2013-2015.
In spite of paying 40% of taxes and contribution of 24% towards GDP growth of the state and 68% in the district, government is not addressing the many of the problems faced by builders as expected, Razak regretted.
Razak also suggested to have single window system in the MCC to help in clearance of files pertaining to construction projects.
The new president Pushparaj Jain in his address recalled the contribution of the previous presidents of CREDAI and said builders should have a social responsibility by building affordable homes to the poor.
Mangalore south MLA JR Lobo congratulated the new team of office bearers of CREDAI.
PMA Razak, KC Naik, former President of CREDAI, Sanath Kumar Shetty, Architect have been felicitated during the occasion.
MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, Mangalore South MLA JR Lobo, SCDCC Bank Chairman Rajendra Kumar, Anil Nayak, executive member of CREDAI, Bangalore chapter, KC Naik, former CREDAI President and chairman of Mahableshwara group and others spoke on the occasion.
Srinath Hebbar, chairman of Land Trades proposed the vote of thanks.
