Mangalore, June 5: Speaking to the media personnel in the press meet held at Pathrika Bhavan on June 5,Wednesday Shivaram Kasargod,President,cultural foundation said in his speech that 99th birthday and centenary celebration of Nadodi Dr Kinjanna Rai,a senior Littterateur and freedom fighter will be inaugurated at his residence in Kasargod Badiyadka Peradala Kavitha Kuteera.
Shivaram further said that on behalf of Rai’s centenary celebration, series of programmes depicting the meaningful and respectable life of Mr.Rai has been chalked out for the occasion. Universities, Kannada division, school division, schools and colleges in different parts of the states will observe in different ways by organizing series of festival of literatures, organizing symposiums etc have been undertaken for the celebration of centenary.
On June 8th, programme, on behalf of coastal cultural foundation and Nadoja Kayyara Kinjanna Rai felicitation committee will be inaugurated by Vatal Nagaraj, a revolutionar.
Harikrishna Punaroor, President, Sahitya Parishath, Ramanath Rai, U T Khader, Vinaya Kumar sorake, Abhayachandra Jain and other eminent dignitaries will be participating.
