Rae Bareli, March 20: Thirty people were killed and 150 members suffered injuries when a train got derailed at Bachhrawan in Rae Bareli.
According to the reports, the three coaches of Dehradun-Varanasi Express was derailed in Rae Bareli district of Uttar Pradesh on Friday morning.
It is learnt that six passengers were killed on the spot in the accident, leaving many injured. The death toll has rised to 30 as per the fresh reports and about 150 commuters are injured. The failure of locomotive brakes of the train has been considered as one of the reason for the incident.
Meanwhile, the Uttar Pradesh government has announced a compensation of Rs 2 lakh for the family of each person, who were killed in the train mishap. The government will also provide Rs 50,000 to the injured persons.
