Bantwal, March 23: Bantwal cops have arrested two men on Sunday March 22nd, in connection to illegal cattle transportation after raiding a spot near Jakribettu here.
The arrested are Muhammed Shariff, resident of Puttur Mukve, and Abdul Rahiman, resident of Kedila village.
The accused had robbed Jersey cows from the cattle shed of a house in Beltangady and were transporting the animals from there, it is said.
The local cops raided the spot and arrested the duo after activists of some Hindu organizations tipped them about the act.
