Mangaluru, March 26: Owner of renowned Central Cloth Store in Gurpur town Gajanana Prabhu (55), has reportedly committed suicide at his home on the morning of Thursday March 26th.
Gajanana Prabhu, cloth merchant was carrying on this business since a long time. Gajanana Prabhu was also the president of district merchants’ association.
Family sources said that, Gajanana Prabhu appeared normal on Wednesday March 25th and was conversing over his mobile phone till 10 pm. On the morning of Thursday, his body was found clinging from a fan.
Reason for the suicide is not yet known.
Central Cloth Store situated in the heart of Gurpur town is known for wedding saris and apparels. People from far off places arrive at the Central Cloth Store especially to buy wedding attires.
Gajanana Prabhu is survived by wife, and a daughter.
A case has been registered by Bajpe cops and further investigations are on.
