Jeddah: Sports and games are very important for the development of one’s physical and mental health condition along with that, it helps the people of different traditions and cultures to get together with the spirit of sportsmanship. On this note India Fraternity Forum Karnataka Chapter Jeddah, conducted National level Kabaddi tournament on 15th May 2015 in Shabbabiyah Ground, Jeddah on behalf of the “Fraternity Fest 2015”.
This tournament was inaugurated by Janab E Aboubakkar Saheb (chairman, Rehab India Foundation). Many National level teams arrived from Dammam, Riyadh, Jubail, and Jeddah and from all over Saudi Arabia, league matches were conducted in 2 groups, after the tough competitions, Social Forum Jeddah, Navodaya Kukkajje Dammam, Bhatkal Committee (A) and Bhatkal Committee (B) were the teams which qualified for the Semifinals. In the First Semifinal, Social Forum Jeddah and Bhatkal Committee (A) fought furiously but Bhatkal Committee (A) entered the finals. And in the 2nd semifinals between Navayuga Kukkajje Dammam and Bhatkal Committee (B), Navayuga Kukkajje Dammam made its way to the finals. In grand finale Bhatkal Committee (A) was against Navayuga Kukkajje Dammam it was a very exciting final match, both the teams were neck to neck, but at the end Bhatkal Committee (A) was able to beat Navayuga Kukkajje Dammam and turned out to be the Winners to lift the trophy.
In the inauguration ceremony Janab Abdul Majeed Vitla (President, I.F.F Jeddah) presided over the function, Janab Sayyed Khaj Vikaruddin (Chairman Kake Taiba, Jeddah), Janab K. Mohammed Ali (General Secretary I.F.F western region council), Janab Ishan Sarfaraz (Marketing Manager, Centre Point Jeddah), Janab Nasir Khan (Marketing Manager, Aaro lines), Janan Ishak Hyderabad (Founder, Star Karate Club), Janab Ashraf Morayur (Social Forum Central committee, Jeddah), Janab Mohammed Sharief (President, Hidayah Foundation, Jeddah), Janab Ansar Saheb (Editor, Urdu news), Janab Abdul Ghani (Member, IFF central committee), Janab Mohammed Habeeb (Master, Black Belt), Janab Qamar Sadah (General Secretary Bhatkal Committee, Jeddah), Janab Ali Koya (PRO, IFF Central Committee, Jeddah), Janab Shareef sahab (President, IFF Tamilnadu, Jeddah), Janab P.T. Mohammed Shareef (General Secretary Social forum, Jeddah) and Janab Shamshuddin (General Secretory, IFF Kerala chapter, Jeddah), were the dignitaries on the stage.
In the concluding ceremony Mr. Vishwanath (Proprietor, India Gate Restaurant, Jeddah), Janab Mohammed Rafeeq (Social Worker), Janab Haneef Haris (Vice President, Social Forum Karnataka, Jeddah), Janab Nisar Volavoor (Proprietor, Galaxy Security system), Janab Mohammed Gurupura, Janab Abdul Majeed Vitla (president, IFF Karnataka Jeddah), Janab Faizan (Proprietor, Samath South Telecom), Janab Ubaid (proprietor, Asian Choice), Janab Shamshuddin Kondatti (General Secretory, IFF Kerala chapter Jeddah) and several other dignitaries were present.
Trophies were handed over to the winners and the runner up teams along with that, Man of the series, Best Rider and Man of the Match for the finals were also presented, Janab Hameed Ali and Janab Siddique were the match referees, Janab Muzammil Kalladka and Janab Khaizar Kannangar were the line umpires. Janab Arif Bajpe, Janab Firoz Kalladka and Janab Ismail Kalladka were in charge for the tournament, Janab Haneef K.C. road and Janab Sajid Valavoor hosted the tournament together, Janab Irfan Majoor Welcomed the gathering, Janab Haneef K.C. road proposed the vote of thanks.
Dinner was arranged for all those who gathered along with refreshments.
