Mangaluru, June 11: An enraged bull killed a woman fishmonger at Baikampady here on the evening of Wednesday June 10th.
Revathi (58), a resident of Meenakaliya, Baikampady is the deceased.
At around 4.30 pm on Wednesday, Revathi was returning home as usual after selling fish at the fish market in Urva in the city. On the way, she saw two bulls fighting near her home. She crossed them by the side and was about to enter her house when one of the bulls suddenly leaped on her and began to pierce near her womb with its horns. Her head and stomach was seriously injured due to the bulls attack.
The bull was so furious that it continued to kick the woman with its hooves and stub its horns into her body for sometime after attacking her. After this attack, the bull once again fought with the bull with which it had a fought earlier, and later moved away.
The locals and auto drivers immediately shifted her to a hospital, but she succumbed to her injuries.
Revathi sold fish, while her husband and a son work in country boat. Her three daughters have become inconsolable after the tragic demise of their mother.
