Mangaluru, June 20: Heavy losses have incurred across the city due to the intermittent rains which has been witnessed since the past three days.
Trees have fallen down in many areas, due to which power supply is cut off. Vehicular movement was affected after the electric poles had fallen on the roads.
A huge tree collapsed over a house in DVT compound, Gundurao lane near Mannagudde. The roof of the house is completely damaged in the incident owing to a huge loss. Fire personnel’s arrived to the spot and cleared the tree.
Vehicular movement was hit after an electric pole had collapsed over the old Kent road near Pandeshwar here. Along the same road at some distance, a broken electric pole has created anxiety among the local’s.
As the MESCOM Department is engaged in all these repair works, power supply has been cut-off.
