Sullia, June 26: Due to the heavy showers at Subrahmanya and surrounding areas on June 24th and June 25th, the Kumaradhara bridge near bathing ghat in Subrahmanya was submerged under the river water.
AS Kumaradhara river is swelling, the bridge has been submerged under the water which has affected the traffic movement here. The pilgrims arriving at Subrahmanya, schools and college students there, have suffered great inconveniences.
A new bridge at a higher elevation is under construction now. The people hope this new bridge will be completed at the earliest.
