Kundapur, August 12: A 15 year old minor was forced into a car and taken away by stranger while the boy was returning home from school. The incident occurred near Kambadakone in Kundapur taluk on Tuesday, August 12th.
The accused has been identified as Khareem Abrahar (34) from Theertahalli. He is basically from Tata Nagar, Hebbal in Bengaluru and has relatives at Byndur, revealed the investigaions.
Details of the incident:
The minor boy was a 9th standard student of Government Pre-University College in Kambadakone. After his class hours, the student was returning back by walk to his home situated at Heggavitlu in Heranjaalu village at around 4.30pm on Tuesday, August 11th. As the minor was passing through the down near mill in Kambadakone, a Maruti Eeco car bearing registration number KA-20-B-7092 came from behind. A man who came by the car forced the minor into the car and moved in the same way.
The man then made the minor boy to sit in the back seat, made the minor nude and tried to molest the boy. The minor cried in pain.
Hearing the screams, when the locals followed the car, the accused pushed the boy out of the car and absconded.
When the locals chased the accused, the accused tried to flee in the car around Navunda and when he finally went to the beach side, as he could not return, he left the car there and absconded. When the locals learnt that the accused had moved by a bus, they conveyed this information to the police.
The Bramhavara Circle inspector Arun Nayak and staffs caught hold of him at Bramhavara and handed him over to the Byndoor police.
Byndoor circle inspector M Sudarshan, police inspector Santosh Kaikini and staffs were successful in arresting the accused.
A case has been registered under POCSO act in Byndoor police station.
