Patients from neighbouring districts also come to Wenlock hospital. In this view, providing facilities to them is also essential. There are superintendents in every hospital. The first thing they should do is check the cleanliness in the premises of the hospital, washrooms etc. A security guard should be deployed to keep watch on those who spit on the walls and floors of the hospital. These security guards should instruct such people and ask them to spit in the dustbin kept outside the hospital, he said.

The generic drug store:

The concept of generic drug store of the state health minister is good. By this the prices of the drugs can be controlled. Along with this care must be taken that the store would be run only by pharmacy licence holders, he said.

Kagodu Thimmappa lauded Health Minister U T Khader and said, the Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has handed over the charge of the Health Department in the hands of a well educated youth.

Health minister U T Khader said, plans are on to take measures by the state government to identify the pregnant women suffering from malnutrition and provided with all facilities including the facility of safe delivery. The peritoneal dialysis being done under the pilot project in Mangaluru and Bengaluru has been successful. The government has plans to extend this project to other places, informed Khader.
