Unique way of Independence Day Celebration: 305 metre long National Flag unfurled in the city.

Mangaluru, August 15: On account of the Independence Day, on Saturday, August 15th; the 305 metres long National Flag was unfurled from the premises of Ganapathi School, Ganapathi English Medium School, Ganapathi aided primary School and Ganapathi High School, Ganapathi Pre-University College, Anandshram High School and Parijnan pre-university college which function under the Saraswat Education Society.

The students of Saraswat Education Society which has a record of 145 years exhibited their patriotism in a unique way.

Deputy Commissioner A B Ibrahim unfurled this National Flag today morning and handed it over to as many as 1000 students of this institution. The flag was later unfurled from the front of Mahalaxmi Temple located at the corner of the Ganapathi school road; up to Hampankatta circle.

This sacred event is dedicated to the Freedom Fighters, in memory of all the great soldiers who dedicated their service for our country, for the patriotic citizens, and soldiers of our country.

In the program, Saraswat Education Society’s Bharat Scouts and Guides, Sevadhal, N.C.C Air wing and N.C.C Naval wing, and N.S.S students held the National Flag and co-operated in the event.
