Mangalore, June 27: It has been reported that SFI has organized a protest on June 27, Thursday urging the police officials to arrest and make thorough and impartial probe into the case of Manipal gang rape of medical student.
Addressing the protestors Nithin Kuthar, president of SFI said in his address that police must try to get justice to the victim and her family.
People have now reposed faith and confidence in the congress government and justice be meted to the victim and her family and any delay in the process, such cases will make people to lose faith in the government, he said.
Referring to the Sowjanya rape and murder case reported from Belthangady last year, the culprit has not yet been traced and the family deprived of their justice, he added.
The police have failed in arresting the real accused in the case. He also warned of a violent protest in front of the police station, if the police failed to undertake a thorough investigation.
SFI leaders Sanketh Kuthar, Mahasuri Mayuri, Santhosh D’Souza and Swathi were present.
