Bantwal, September 23: Horrifying incident reported from Manchi near Ira, in which a couple and their two kids were found dead in their house on Wednesday September 23rd.
Padmanabha Nayak (48), a local gram panchayat member, reportedly murdered his wife Pushpavati (34) and daughters Poorvi(7) and Pruthvi(9) and then committed suicide.
It is gathered that the incident came to light on Wednesday morning when a neighbour went to Padmanabha’s house.
The reason for taking the extreme step is not yet known.
Sources said that few months ago, Padmanabha had undergone treatment for some psychological condition.
A death note was found in the home in which Padmanabha had written that he was taking the step on his own will and also that he was leaving some insurance money for his mother and brother.
Bantwal rural police visited the crime spot and investigations are underway.
